Irrawaddy squirrel Callosciurus pygerythrus
Arpan Saha photographed this hoary-bellied, or Irrawaddy squirrel, Callosciurus pygerythrus outside his window. An arboreal rodent, of tropical and subtropical forest canopies, it is threatened by deforestation. Individuals produce just one litter of three or four offspring once a year.
