Indian Skimmers crocodiles and gharials: “I was in Bharatpur in February 2021, hoping to photograph winter migrants, but uncharacteristically warm weather meant fewer birds. I decided to make a detour to Chambal. Our afternoon boat safari yielded some great opportunities to photograph Indian Skimmers, crocodiles and gharials. As the sun began to set, the light reflected blue and gold on the water, and I held my camera as close to the water surface as possible to capture this close-up portrait.”
