Swinging away
The dried fibres of a grass blade swing in the wind, and with the threads sways a thread-like spider species (Ariamnes sp.) belonging to the Theridiidae family. Spiders are fascinating creatures, adapted to a plethora of habitats, and found in various sizes, shapes and colours. As the image reveals, spiders from the genus Ariamnes have greatly elongated abdomens that resemble threads or twigs. Photo: Apurv Jadhav.
