HIRING Assistant Editor

Starting on: June 1

Position: Assistant Editor 

Role includes writing, editing, proofing and commissioning for:

  • Magazines Sanctuary Asia and Sanctuary Cub. 
  • Email newsletters, campaigns, and social media posts
  • Emcee scripts for events, such as the Sanctuary Awards
  • Annual reports on our field projects
  • Coffee table books and wildlife field guides 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A good command of the English language without the use of AI assistance
  • A minimum of two years of editorial experience – both long and short form writing (for example, articles and social media posts)
  • Interest in environmental and wildlife conservation 
  • Proficiency with publishing software such as Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Calendar) and Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (FB, IG, LinkedIn, YouTube, Substack)
  • Familiarity with design software, Canva and InDesign
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • A willingness to learn new things!
